Redeploying back into real life, we sometimes encounter problems. As a Chaplain, I am always available to help Soldiers and their families in times of need.Â
A couple of years ago, I was stationed at Fort Campbell, KY. During that period following the deployment, I often was assigned to carry the “Staff Duty Chaplain” phone to be the on-call chaplain for the post.
Frequently, I would receivequestions that could be solved easily through referring to other agencies throughout the Army. One phone number I frequently handed out was the number to Military One Source.
Military One Source, as the name suggests, acts as a one stop solution center. Many of the questions can be found online. But, the phone center can also assist in helping someone with the issues that they are going through.
Some of the issues could be that the person calling would want to speak to a mental health professional confidentially. Some of the other issues dealt with budgeting. It has hard to think of something that Military one source doesn’t have answers to.
When their are issues as a member of the US Military, the Military One Source is a great place to start.
