Packing Up is Hard To do

by Chaplain Andrews on April 15, 2009

You may have wondered where I have been lately.

I am packing…everything–my office and my CHU.  Where did all of this stuff come from?  Sadly, I brought a lot of stuff.  Some stuff was sent to me.  And I got a lot of uniforms and things. We have to pack about a month away from leaving so we are ready for the next group moving in. It is a painful part of the deployment, but at least I can look forward to going home.

Some of the other tasks of redeployment are the briefings that I give to all the Soldiers as a part of a larger briefing with finance questions and legal questions.

It is a wonderfully busy time–and it looks like the light at the end of the tunnel.

So you get to live out of a suitcase for a couple of months, too? I can empathize and sympathize as I am living that life right now.

I want to thank you again for sharing so much of your life. I have learned a lot in the past year, and have a new perspective on what/how our military is doing things in Iraq.
